Videodrome Revisited!

Long live the new flesh!

Back in 1982, David Cronenberg was still a fledging director in Toronto Canada. Then he made Videodrome and everything changed.

Videodrome follows the president of a trashy TV channel, Max Renn (James Woods) who is desperate for new programming to attract viewers. When he happens upon "Videodrome," a TV show dedicated to even trashier TV than he could've imagined, Max sees a potential hit and broadcasts the show on his channel. However, after his girlfriend (Deborah Harry) auditions and never returns, Max investigates the truth behind Videodrome and discovers that reality may not be what it seems.

We'll talk about the movie, do our Trivia Challenge, then give it our Wow! Score.

In a world where trashy TV has basically taken over, we'll check out this macabre masterpiece and see if it holds up, if the horrors of today far surpass Cronenberg's imagination. So come and talk about it with us and-- long live the new flesh!
